Keys/Home Entry

YDS uses on-site keys only.  On-site keys are lockboxes, garage codes, door codes or onside Leasing office or concierge desk pickup.   YDS can keep a key in the office for extended trips in case of power failure or circumstances that may require a backup key.   The sitters would not carry this key on them but it would be made available should a situation require the need.

GPS Tracking

After each visit your sitter will send you an electronic journal that includes a GPS tracked map of your visit.

Service Recommendations and Requirements.

To be able to provide you with the best quality of service we recommend you follow your pet's current routine to prevent anxiety or issues with your pet.

Mid Day Visits: If you just need a potty break,  A 15-minute visit is a great option.  If you have a high energy pup and would like to exercise out some energy we recommend a 30-minute visit.

For Pet Sitting, we recommend the following visits.

Please note that for dogs we require at least 2 30 minute visits per day or 2 15 minute visits and a 30-minute visit to prevent anxiety in your pet.   For cats, we require at least one visit daily. It's important we are able to check on your cat each day to make sure food and water are filled and available, scoop the litter box to monitor for illness and issues and to provide your cat with quality care.  For other pets(bunnies, Guinea pigs, Chickens, Hamsters, etc.) we require at least one visit per day to check food and water, provide some attention and company.

Our recommendations for pet sitting are as follows:

Dogs: No less than 3 visits per day spread out 4-6 hours during daylight hours.

Cats: No less than one visit per day.

Overnights: Overnight visit, mid-day and dinner visit.

We are happy to help our clients build a schedule to fits the needs of their pets.  Please just ask.
