To contact your sitter: Each of our sitters has a YDS Cell phone. If you would like the contact info please let us know and we are happy to pass it on. If for some reason we are unable to reach you before you leave you can always access your sitter with the following details. On your schedule you will see the sitter listed as Colleen x4. This is the sitters email and extension details. Just add @yourdogsmiles.com to the name to reach them by email. To reach them by phone, call 703-910-5166 and as soon as the message comes up, press the extension number just once and it will transfer you shortly to the sitters extension. You are welcome to request text, email or phone calls on each visit. We want you to feel comfortable. :)
What to Expect while your away: On the first day: On the first visit of your pet sit your sitter will call you(from your home phone if you have one or from a cell phone) to let you know, they have arrived and to go over any questions they may have upon arrival, if any. While you are away: Your sitter will leave you a detailed report after each visit on a log sheet. If you would like a text message, email or phone call at each visit, please let us know in advance so we can arm our sitter with a smart phone if they do not currently have one. You may also contact us at any time while you are away to check in. Your sitter has their own office extension that you can call 24 hours a day. The day you come home: On the morning of your last visit, your sitter will call you to verify the times of their visits for that day and to make sure your travel schedule has not changed. We know sometimes clients make it home early or get delayed and arrive home late. We do our best to work with these situations to make sure your pets are safe and cared for during these times so please try not to stress and just let us know about the changes. : ) We also really like it if you contact us when you arrive home so that we know all are safe. You may call the main line at 703-962-7222 24/7.
As always if there is anything we missed or you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact us. We know how much you care for your pet(s) and how stressful it can be leaving them, so we want to do our best to keep you and your pet(s) stress free so all can enjoy your time away. : )
