For those we have lost but have not forgotten...
Our friend Batman. A young 16, he was a shy little guy with a big personality. Always enjoyed visiting with him and his brother Elvis. RIP sweet friend.

Sweet scat was my very first client and one of my inspirations for starting YDS. She was rescued after being so abused that she was scared of everyone. Our first few walks consisted of me trying to convince her that I was her friend. We did not go far those first few times, but soon she was no longer fearful of our walks or me. Instead, each time I saw her she would almost jump up and run to me, sometimes squealing like a little kid. I loved it!
Robin, her owner, worked with her and did whatever she could to resocialize Scat and bring her out of her shell. It was great seeing her personality grow as she became more confident with people.
Cancer took our sweet friend. She was A HUGE part of the YDS family and we are heartbroken of this news.
RIP Scat Cat, you will never be forgotten.

Her sweet meow and kind ways will be missed by all. We always enjoyed our visits with Cassie, she would follow you around as you did what you needed to do to care for her and her brother Bailey(a pointer mix). Then once you had completed your tasks she would be right at your feet waiting, as if to say, "Ok, my turn." : ) RIP sweet Cassie, you will not be forgotten. December 2011

Entertainment without even trying. She was so sweet and found a way to enjoy everything. She would play with shadows, bugs, imaginary things, just a happy little girl. Born def and left with a shelter, her owner Robin rescued her and gave her a loving home. We will all miss Hello.

Our friend Sophie lost her battle with cancer today. She was only diagnosed this week. Sophie was a sweet silly girl. She was always happy to see you but often played a little game of try to catch me when it came time to put on the leash and go for her walk. I will miss her sweet face and silly style. My Sweet boy was such a great joy in my life. He was such an inspiration for so many things. He was my sweet puppy but also a member of the family. He offered so much love and created so many smiles.
In June 2010 he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. In his memory I will continue to search for and share with others, ways to reduce the risk of cancer in our fur babies.
He is loved and will be missed by many. RIP my sweet baby.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
